I’ve been posting a lot of my looks on Instagram. Luckily this weekend was pretty breezy so I was able to fit a proper outfit post in.
I’ve been wearing it at least once a week since I bought it because it is very comfortable, especially after a hearty meal. I normally wear it without a belt but today I decided to add some shape to it with a black patent skinny belt.
This weekend was filled with activities for me and my son so I had to utilize my work bag to hold snacks, wipes, my flats, and a toy for the train ride.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Also follow me on Instagram under Stylishcurves to see more of my everyday looks.

You look beautiful, but may I ask how old your son is? I have a two-year old and a four-year old and I struggle to find clothes that are both stylish and practical for chasing them around. And how do you manage those heels with a little one?!
Alissa says
@Caroline
My son is 3 years old. I have always been a heels kind of girl because I find my feet hurt more in flats. I know crazy! HOwever, I do assess the activity or outing me and my son go on. If its parks, museums or anything that requires a lot of walking, I wear flats or wedges. If we are going somewhere that we get to sit more than stand then I wear heels. When I wear heels, I make sure that I have a pair of flats in my bag just in case.
As a mom, it’s important for me to maintain a stylish appearance for my self esteem. I’ve seen alot of moms stop caring about their personal appearance or just wear frumpy calls. I try to make sure that I dress the way I did before I became a mom. At the end of the day, I do what feels comfortable for me.
Caroline says
Alissa, I think that’s great. I’m really interested in how you do it. I am trying to concentrate on my appearance more now that my kids aren’t babies, but I find it difficult. This summer I tried to get out of my comfort zone a bit and buy things I normally wouldn’t wear (white capris, brightly colored pants, maxi dresses) and then I lacked the follow-through to actually wear them very much. This season, I’m taking a different approach. I plan to stick mainly with my basic look–jeans and cute tops–and add some style with accessories and outerwear. I bought a pair of cool boots at Lane Bryant and have my eye on a great-looking trench coat. A happy medium between style and practicality is what I’m looking for.
Sorry for the long-winded response, but, my point is, I need help! And would love any pointers you would be willing to give.
