STYLE JOURNEY: INCORPORATING TRENDS AT THE OFFICE

Happy Friday! When it comes to getting dressed in the mornings for work, I often build my outfit around shoes. I’ve always been a shoe lover and at one point, I used to have more shoes than clothes. But now, I think my clothes and shoes are on a leveled playing field. When spring/summer rolls around. I become obsessed with buying brightly colored shoes. Currently, I am inlove with these turquoise blue suede sandals from Vince Camuto.

I’ve only worn them once, but, this morning I woke up with them on my mind and decided to build a casual yet dashing look around them. It is casual Friday after all. Since my work style is very classic and quite simplistic, I’m always looking for ways to incorporate trends into my work looks.

One of the major trends this season is the neon trend. I’ve worn it a couple of times on the weekend or on my days off but I wanted to find a way to wear it to work.

After sifting through my closet, I think I came up with the perfect work look that included my Vince Camuto heels and the neon trend. I chose to rock a basic short sleeve neon yellow knit sweater from loft. The one I wore with the pink skirt a few weeks ago and simply just teamed it up with basic neutral colors. A black pencil skirt and my gray button less belted trench coat were a complimentary backdrop to the bright blue heels and neon yellow knit sweater.
