I’ve been dying to do a color block look ever since I saw Gucci’s fall ads. Just when I was ready to go out and purchase some new pieces to create the look, I realized I already had what I needed in my closet. A few weeks ago, I bought the colored skinny jeans from Faith21 plus and then I realized I had my pink blazer that I received from the OSP runway collection as a gift. I didn’t need any new clothes, I had everything I needed to create the look in my closet. I love pink and blue together because of how well it looks with my complexion. I also wore my flower pin that I’ve had since Sex And The City was on HBO, thanks to Carrie. I used to put it on everything from belts to handbags and of course blazers. To be honest, I love the color blocked looks when the colors are dark and rich jewel tones. Gucci just stole my heart with the green, orange, and gold combo they had in their fall collection. There are a myriad of ways to create a color blocked look and you probably have all that you need in your closet too.
This is just my simplistic take on the trend.
