Hey curvy girls all over the world
Today we are dishing out our holiday travel tips on how to look stylish and put together. Travel season is approaching quickly. Between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year, everyone is gearing up for family getaways. Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, or bus, you should never sacrifice style. Now, if you are traveling outside of the U.S for the season (trying to avoid that family get-together), then you want to make the experience memorable, especially if you have the travel bug and want to go to as many places as possible with your fashionable self. It may be a good idea to check out websites like www.modernmapart.com to pick up a travel map that you can use for your wandering personality, or bring them as presents to your family to help you plan for family vacations for the upcoming year. Family person or not, traveling in style is not just for your parents house this season.
Back in the day women would be dressed to the nines when traveling. Today, its a completely different story. Some people travel looking like they just rolled out of bed. I don’t mean that in a chic way, either. Of course, when you travel, you want to be comfortable. However, you can combine style and comfort. Some people who prefer the minimalist style might go for a single-colored outfit paired with some bright and colorful bracelets (hop over to here for some examples) or other such accessories. Probably pair it with a bomb pair of sneakers. Personally, I like to arrive to my destinations looking like I’m a celebrity. I want people to see me and go, who is that. Especially if I’m flying somewhere, I like to imagine I’ve just rented a private jet from somewhere like Jettly and dress how I would if I were stepping off into the paparazzi. Well, a girl can dream! LOL, don’t judge me.
Holiday Travel Tips
Today, I teamed up with Lane Bryant to share with you my must try tips on how to look stylish when traveling during the holiday season.
What I’m Wearing: Christian Siriano Vest, Striped Top, Skinny Jeans, Ankle Boots
Tavel In Style Tip #1: Statement Making Outerwear
If you want to look stylish when traveling, I say go for statement making outerwear. A bold coat, jacket, or vest is really all you need for a smashing head turning look. I found this beautiful faux fur vest from the Christian Siriano collection from Lane Bryant.
The vest is currently on sale with code NOVGIFT

Travel In Style Tip #2: Wear Dark Bottoms
Next to eye catching outerwear, you should go for dark colors under your coat. I like to wear dark colors when traveling just in case I spill something on my clothes. Dark jeans or leggings are perfect choices for traveling and being comfortable. I scooped up a pair of dark skinny jeans from Lane Bryant.
Travel In Style Tip #3: Choose Layering Pieces Like Knits or Woven Tops
Knits or woven shirts are good options for wearing alone or to layer. Depending on the weather, a cozy sweater or turtleneck works wonders when traveling. Even light weight woven’s can be easy and comfortable to wear alone or layer.
For my travel look, I went with a striped long sleeve top and layered a turtleneck under it.
Travel In Style Tip #4: Chic Footwear
When I travel, I’m all for a pair of chic shoes. I like to wear heels but I know everyone doesn’t. During the fall winter season, I like to go with a cute pair of boots. Even if you don’t like heels, you can go with a pair of chic ballerina flats or knee high flat boots.

Travel In Style Tip #5: Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize
Accessories are very important to creating a stylish look. If you have to wear just one accessory, I would say go for a pair of cool looking sunglasses.
For my travel look, I found these octagon shaped sunglasses from Lane Bryant. I also added a black studded wraparound watch, drop earrings, and a silver jewel encrusted ring.
So, those are my top 5 tips on how to travel in style. Share some of your tips in the comment section below.

I forgot to mention my Traveling Tips as suggested…
Be Comfy, Stay Comfy, & Exude Comfort! Nothing I hate more than being uncomfortable but traveling and being uncomfortable!! #DropsMyPearls and grinds my gears! LOL!!! No matter the season I’m traveling from and traveling to: I like to wear flats, mainly sneakers just in case I may need to run (or jog) to my gate; I like to wear a jacket or vest, something with pockets so I can easily access my license or money or boarding ticket (yep,I’m old school! Love my paper boarding tixs); and lastly a comfortable t-shirt or cotton long sleeve shirt- cotton is so breathable so during a flight you can remain fresh in smell and style- wrinkle free!
