I have a sheer fondness for sophisticated fabrics like tweed and mixing them with trendy or edgier pieces. The combination of classic and trendy speaks to who I really am inside.
While shopping Nordstrom’s massive sale at the end of 2011 I came across this tweed cape. It was something so classy and modern about it. It screamed Alissa buy me.
I happily obliged and am so happy I did. I utilized it to wear to work over skirts and dresses. This time I decided to rock it with black skinny pants from Faith21 Plus, a black turtleneck from Banana Republic, and one of my favorite pair of boots from Jessica Simpson.
I finished off my look with silver bangles from Ashley Stewart, a leather chain cuff , and my go to black bag from Loft.

The cape is so nice! You styled it really well. I don’t know why I haven’t tried to wear a cape coat. I just always felt that I would look too bulky in it.
