STYLE JOURNEY: AT THE OFFICE IN RACHEL PALLY

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
The heat is over and I nixed my Mikki Taylor low bun and am back to growing out my hair. Who knows, I may weave it up again but for now, I’m showing the world the real me. Since fall has arrived I’ve been slowly curating my work wardrobe. While looking through my closet a few weeks ago, I realized I didn’t have a major wardrobe staple, which is the wrap dress. Of all things!

When searching for a classic staple such as a wrap dress, I wanted one that was made of great quality and design. Something simple but not basic. If that makes any sense. While searching in store and online, I decided to hit up Rachel Pally to purchase my wardrobe staple.

I saw she just released her fall 2012 collection for her White Label which is also known as her plus size line and thought she would be the best designer to purchase a classic style from.

I chose the purple because it’s one of those colors that is flattering on my complexion. As a plus size woman, I used to have that Barney complex. Children can be so mean. As much as I love color and purple actually used to be my favorite color, I definitely was fearful back in the day anytime I wore it. I know I’m not the only one. However, once you become comfortable in your skin thoughts like that go away.

The Fit & Quality: This is my first Rachel Pally dress and I absolutely love it. Seriously! It’s so soft and comfortable and constructed with great quality. Whenever I order online I make sure I follow the size chart. The measurements were true to my size and I couldn’t be happier.

Since the dress has an understated sexy appeal, I kept my accessories simple by wearing a sort chain link necklace, purple and gold arrow earrings, and my Michael Kors watch. For shoes, I went with my colorblocked pink suede heels from Bakers.
