SHOPPING WITH ALISSA: MY VISIT TO THE DOTS STORE IN STATEN ISLAND

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a video for Chic Style Edit TV. My last video was my spring haul (seen here). Well, I am working on being more consistent with doing videos. However, I want to make sure I’m not bringing you redundant material. So, what I’ve decided to do is to take you guys shopping with me. One of the things I love to do most is shop. I don’t always have to buy anything but I sincerely enjoy seeing what’s in stores.

Since plus size brick and mortar stores are basically on the verge of being non-existent I thought I would visit those stores that do offer a walk in service for plus size shoppers. So, welcome to the new feature “Shopping With Alissa.” The first store in the Chic Style Edit video series is DOTS. If you don’t know about Dots, it’s a budget friendly store that carries both misses and plus. It’s the equivalent of a Rainbows store (for my NYC readers). There aren’t any DOTS in the NYC metro area but every time I would go to Baltimore to visit my family Ross and Dots are the two spots I love to hit up before I head back to NYC. When I found out there was a DOTS in Staten Island I got a little excited because I live near the Verrazano Bridge and it is literally a few bus rides away.

The DOTS team there was nice enough to allow me to come and visit the store and shoot a little video. I will be doing a variety of stores in this series. Some will be budget friendly and others will be mid to high end.
