I really don't think so. Fashion is a thing for everyone and plus size fashion just requires a perfect fit, flattering shape and a accomplished use of colors, patterns and textures.

In my experience, following guidelines associated with dressing for my shape has helped me avoid some fashion faux paus - and finally shed light on why I was always having trouble fitting into certain things that I loved on the hangers, but didn't feel quite right. (Even though I love a shift dress, it don't love me and my pear shape!) However, I definitely believe the fashion "rules" for plus-size women (don't wear horizontal stripes, don't show your arms, etc., etc.) should be tossed out the window. Ultimately, no matter what, people ought to wear what makes them FEEL good...whether something LOOKS good is subjective. But how you feel? That is all up to you, Boo! Great post!

Women should dress in what makes them feel good and attractive and not try to conform to what other people think. Even "body type" is a matter of opinion. Don't let other people try and dictate what you should wear!

Yes, they should. I think when you dress for your shape you're giving your best looks.

I think they don't have to. I think its all about the overall look. If it fits well then it looks good.
