MAKE A PLEDGE TO LOVE YOUR HAIR

It’s no secret that most women hate their hair or have a love/hate relationship with their hair. I know I do. Currently I am growing out my once short hair, and it has been a process that has taken me through many emotions. For me, hair is like an accessory. It is a crucial element into creating a really great outfit. When I heard about ULTA Beauty’s new Love Your Hair event I had to jump on it. Like every woman, I love to try out new products. From shampoos to holding sprays to curling irons, I like to try products that I feel are going to give me a different look.

 

The ULTA Beauty event is all about trying new products. For their Love Your Hair event, they have come up with 21 daily beauty steals consisting of conditioners, smoothing serums, and hair tools like cool curling irons and blow dryers to help women like you and me create new hairstyles and ultimately start to love our hair a little more. Recently I used 2 products that are important to a girl with short to medium hair. I used a strong hold hair spray by Redken and a curling iron that could handle my now chin-length hair. I’ve been wearing my hair in a straight bob and wanted to try a curly hairstyle that would be cute and flattering to my round face. To achieve my curly look, I used Hot Tools Cheetah 1″ tapered curling iron. I thought the leopard print was so fun and different that I was maybe a little too excited about curling my hair. I took large sections of my hair and wrapped it around the one inch iron. Thank goodness for the glove that comes with it to prevent burning your fingers. After twisting large sections of my hair, I used the Redken Control Addict 28 hairspray. That hairspray is everything and more. It’s been windy here in NYC, so I knew if I curled my hair it would be flying all over the place. Redken’s hairspray not only held my curls in place, but they were still soft to the touch.

 

 

 

For the past week, I have been loving my new curly look and my hair in general. I have the millions of Instagram selfies to prove it.
