Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Department stores have been showing their online plus size sections some serious love lately. Back in the day, shopping online for plus size clothes was just as much as a drag as if you were actually shopping in a brick and stone store. Well, that isn’t the case anymore. Department stores like Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s have been developing their online plus size voice and we think that they’re hitting the right notes.
For spring 2012 both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s rolled out their own online lookbooks of spring trends for plus size women. The lookbooks show you how to incorporate the latest trends into your wardrobe and utilizes some of the top plus size bridge lines like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and DKNYC Plus. What I liked most about the lookbooks were that they used actual plus size models and they styled the clothes in a way that you would want to wear them. The lookbooks also cover all the major trends from colorblocking, abstract prints, to neon. This is a good look for both department stores and a HUGE step in the right direction of stylish plus size fashion.
Take a look at some photos from each of the sites and tell me what you think.

The website is one thing. Many a retailer has no problem taking plus sized dollars online. I want to go to a store and see a plus size section that doesn’t look like it’s for my mother and isn’t tucked away in the corner.

Yes, I saw this stuff on the Bloomies website the other day and I was blown away! That Vince Camuto blue jacket in the 1st picture is not plus size. I could not find it anywhere in the plus section. Love that sequin dress and anything Calvin Klein. The CK plus line is pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing! Kiah

@kiah- It does come in plus but I believe it sold out. It was on their website for a minute. However I did find it in plus on Nordstrom’s website. Here’s the link
