Hey curvy girls allover the world,
Currently, I am a huge fan of the gingham print trend. Although its not a new trend, it’s a refreshing one. It has even halted my love for stripes. I love the trend so much that I wanted to figure out a way to wear it to work without looking like a full on picnic table. I happened to be on the Torrid website and saw this gingham checkered midi skirt and immediately knew that it would be perfect for the office.
The length is perfect. It hits right below my knee and the skirt gets narrow towards the knee, which I love, because it makes your hips look more defined. I sized up in the skirt as I do with all of Torrid’s knit pencil skirts because I don’t like for my skirts or pants to pull in the tummy area. I could probably gotten my true size but this works.
Since the skirt was fitted at the bottom, I went with a more relaxed top. I chose a Calvin Klein utility shirt. These shirts are my favorite because they look good tucked in or left out. I think every plus size girl should buy atleast one of them.
I kept my look very simple by just adding a pair of nudist black sandals from Nine West and I swiped on a fuschia lip from Wet N Wild called Fuschanista.

Have you tried the gingham trend yet?
