You guys know I love a good bra and I make it a point to share with you the brands I come across that make great bra’s for girls with curves. Today, I am super excited to announce that Chic Style Edit is partnering up with new lingerie brand Curvy Couture for our first ever contest. Curvy Couture is a new lingerie brand that caters to curvy women. They do not subscribe to the old way of thinking when it comes to designing bra’s for fuller figure women.

The designer of Curvy Couture Dora Lau is a 25 year designing and manufacturing vet in intimate apparel. Like most clothing and lingerie lines for curvy women, Dora was frustrated that they were not creating beautiful styles for the curvy girls that fit properly. So, she started up her own line. Curvy Couture offers sexy comfortable lingerie that include soft cotton fabrics with lace detailing and fun prints.
Curvy Couture sizes range from 36C-44DD and starting in February they will offer extended sizes up to a 44H. Panties range in size from 6-24

Anyways, why I think my personality is vibrant is because no matter how many times people, family, friends try to tear me down or take little shots at me and my body, I have never allowed that to change the way I feel about myself. I think most women have gone through similar things as me, such as when I had guys interested in me girls would ask “why do you like her? She’s fat.” When my dad would see me in shorts when I was little, (no more than 7) he would tell me my legs are too fat and that I should go on a diet. My mother would put me on a strict diet and she, to this day tells me to suck in my belly. And my ‘friends’ would constantly make fun of me. But those things only made me stronger, I’m not one to shy away or wear big baggy clothes to hide my body or feel ashamed. I have always been proud of who I am, and people can instantly see that and tell as soon as they speak to me. Women and girls are always under so much pressure from society to look and act a certain way. Its a form of bullying. Bullying woman is nothing new, but I am a firm believer in taking a stand against people who try to bully and tear us down, and by being confident, colorful and vibrant is a way you can make people like that feel small and insignificant, and hopefully less likely to talk negatively towards woman who don’t “fit the mold”. They say the best revenge is living well, and I agree, my way of revenge is being a happy friendly bubbly person who refuses to be a victim. And I hope my personality can encourage and give other women confidence to be happy with who they are, be themselves and have fun.
I believe that not taking life too seriously is what makes my personality colorful and vibrant. I have went through so much in my life and instead of wallowing in sadness I choose to rejoice. I have gained alot of weight due to medications but I didn’t hide. I decided to love the body I am in. It is not easy to look in the mirror and not hate my imperfections; however, blogs such as Chic Style Edit definitely makes it easier by the day. I’m becoming more confident and finding my inner sexy. Thank you.
