Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I can smell that spring is in the air. I’m enjoying the 50 degree weather and can’t wait until the 70’s start rolling in. Yesterday at work, I wore my new blazer that I scored on sale at Loft. I love the blue piping on the sleeves, front, and back of this blazer. It’s one of those blazers that can be worn with anything. For a no brainer match I wore it with a pair of my Loft modern skinny jeans that I wore in a previous post HERE. Since the weather was so nice and slightly warm I had the chance to wear my floral platforms that I scored at Forever 21. It truly saddens me to say that these shoes are completely uncomfortable to wear. I was teetering the whole time I wore them and nearly broke my ankle. Good thing I always keep flats in my bag.
I realize that casual Friday’s at the office can prove to be a little difficult for some people. You’re not sure how casual to go. In my opinion jeans and a blazer are a perfect combo for casual days at work. It gives you a pulled together look and allows people to still take you seriously. I’m a big fan of wearing a more dressier top underneath the blazer for that added sophistication. Which is why I wore this silk blend ruffled top in pink under mine.

Um…I’m kind of living for the shoes–teetering or no they are SO cute. Those are going to be amazing with everything from jeans to dresses.
But sidebar, I know of an awesome cobbler that cuts most of my particularly insane heels down to a more manageable length. Let me know if you want a connect; happy to share.

@Addi- It’s not the heel its the platform part of the shoe that’s uncomfortable it’s not even so it feels like I’m rocking back and forth. I’ve decided to dub these my sit down shoes because they’re just too cute to not wear at all. LOL!
very cute spring look. I like the blazer on you but I’m still very reluctant to wear white – tops, jackets, etc. the shoes were a perfect complement so it sucks that they were uncomfortable to walk in. certain heel heights are more for profilin’ but if addi’s cobbler works, go for it.

Okay… those shoes are making me sad… because there is no way I can put my big ol feet into a size 10

@Asha- Thanks, I used to be scared of white on my triple D’s but, I think I got tired of missing out on cute items. Somedays I say screw it. I have big boobs I can’t hide them.
@QueenDiva- LOL! I’m a wide 10 and sometimes I’m surprised that 10’s fit especially from stores like forever 21, but, no harm in trying.
Those jeans are from Loft? They’re exactly what I’ve been looking for…as much as I love Loft I never think of them for pants and jeans. You look great in this outfit, Alissa.
@bombshell-I get all my trousers from Loft. Not so much jeans, but, every once in awhile I find a good pair of jeans in there. But I always by their Curvy trousers or the Ann trousers they work fine to me and I carry most of my weight in my hips, butt, and stomach which makes it hard to find pants to fit right, but, Loft trousers work for me.

I saw those shoes but they didn’t have them in my size F21 shoes are hardly ever comfortable though. Anyway, you look beautiful and the shoes complete the outfit perfectly. Love the blazer!
The blazer is niiiccee. I have a skirt with the same piping. I have good taste if I follow stylish curves I’m with socialitedreams the cute shoes always hurt. The jeans fit great. Did you iron them or send the me to the drycleaners?
@naturallyfashionable & Weesha- I tried them on in the store at the end of the day when my feet were the most swollen and they felt fine. However I tried to walk in them to work and it was another story. I’m gonna give them another try to see if all they need was to be broken in.

I think I am really liking how so many bloggers decided to bring out all the bright pops of colours and you seem to be one of those fortunate few who can rock every colour well!
Please let me know if the shoes get better…they are just sitting in my closet!!!! I tried practicing walking in them in the house and almost “Leaned back” a few times
