ASK SC:DAY AND EVENING LOOKS FOR A 35TH BIRTHDAY

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Yesterday, I had a million and one things to get done so I wasn’t able to crank out a blog post. However, I am back on track today.

In the Ask SC inbox, reader Keniesha asked for our fashion help with her 35th birthday, it read,

Hi Alissa –

I just want to start by saying that I love, love, love your blog. While I don’t necessarily think I’m considered “plus size”, finding clothes that fit my pear/hourglass shape is often times a challenge (I wear a size 12 in bottoms). Also, you have really taught me how to wear my clothes and put pieces together that I probably wouldn’t have before. My style has really grown since I’ve started reading your blog; you are truly an inspiration to me and for that I thank you…

I noticed that you recently gave outfit suggestions to a reader for her upcoming b-day. I wanted to see if you could do the same for me. I will be 35 in early November and my hubby and I will be going to spend the weekend in Atlanta. I absolutely love wearing dresses and heels, but know that the weather in the ATL may not agree with me. We will be just hanging out sightseeing and shopping during the day, but will be partying in the evenings.

Would you be able to give me some suggestions that are sexy, edgy and functional while keeping this bod of mine WARM? I don’t mind wearing a dress or skirt as long as my upper body is warm, if that makes sense. I look forward to seeing what you have in mind.
