In the words of one of my favorite Emcee’s, Allow me to reintroduce myself, well, allow me to reintroduce my blog. Chic Style Edit is a blog that bridges the gap between missy sizes and plus sizes. This blog will show you how to wear the latest and classic styles whether you’re a size 2 or 24 or larger. I believe a size 18 can be just as curvy as a size two. Over the past couple of years new and old designers have come to their senses and are now designing clothes to cater to the curvier body. I will share with you fashion advice and tips that I have learned through experience about dressing your curves and how to defy the so called rules of fashion.
My goal is to bring to you great clothes and accessories that have quality and style. Many items will be budget friendly and some will be great pieces for you to consider investing in or to drool lover like I do. Haven’t you ever walked across Madison and Fifth Ave. in NYC and just gazed at some of the beautiful designs? I have and I want to share some of those designs with you in case one day we can afford it.
Most of all this blog will get you to embrace your body and try new styles that you may have never tried before. Aren’t you tired of so called fashionistas and designers telling you that if you have a big butt stay away from pockets on jeans, if you have large breast always wear v-necks. Who wants a closet full of plain pocket jeans or v-necks?
P.S. Yup, thats me in my ruffle top from Banana Republic and my Alfani pencil skirt.
Plaid Dresses for Work and Play
There is an explosion of plaid this Fall season. There are so many versions and colors and cuts that are making this lumber jack look so feminine. I know when people think of plaid they think casual or school girl, but this year plaid dress have really taken a turn for the best. I remember a time when I tried on a plaid dress. I knew it was wrong for me when I bought it, but, I talked my self into thinking that I was going outside of my comfort zone. It was a halter red and black short plaid dress. What was I thinking? I truly looked like I was about to chop down some trees. I felt uncomfortable all day in it. It was like an arrow was following me around all day saying, “Hey, look at me.” I never wore it again. In fact I passed it on to someone else. Hope they liked it.

I am glad you took the time to reintroduce yourself. At first I thought it was a fashion blog about the latest styles and where you can purchase these items but now I have a clear understanding of what the theme is for your blog. Keep up the good work.

Thanks alot. I appreciate that feedback. I really just want to show that as women we all can relate to body and size issues when it comes to fitting into clothes regardless if you are a size 2 or 20.
