Hey curvy girls all over the world,
When it comes to winter weekends, I like to keep my style simple and put together. Unlike spring and summer, I don’t wear a lot of dresses or skirts. For winter its all about denim, sweaters, and a statement winter coat. You guys hear me preach all the time about having a statement winter coat in your wardrobe (read HERE). One of the main reasons why is that your coat is all people see during the colder months. I could be wearing my favorite pizza stained sweats and my fave ripped t-shirt, but no one would know it because the focus is on my outerwear. This past weekend, I had to run a few errands and I wanted a cute and casual look. ASOS Curve Coat, Lane Bryant Turtleneck, Fashion to Figure Jeans, Aldo Boots, Simply Be Tote
To get through my Saturday errands, I decided to throw on an ASOS Curve fur collar coat, a cream colored ribbed turtleneck, and a pair of dark denim skinny jeans. This winter coat is giving a bold statement with the rich rust color and of course with the fantastic faux fur collar that is detachable by the way. The pieces under the coat are simple but the coat compliments the basics and makes a statement. One that says, I’m fabulous. LOL! Kidding, but you get my point.
For accessories, I went with a pair of suede ankle boots from Aldo’s and a tan bucket bag from Simply Be.
I also accessorized with a pair of DVF sunnies and a green pendant.
As for makeup, I went with a basic neutral face and a purple lip gloss from MAC’s Vamplify collection.
What I love about this coat is that it looks great open or closed. I prefer to wear it open and let people get a peek of my outfit under it.
This is pretty much how I dress on the weekend. Jeans, a sweater, boots, and a statement coat.
What’s your go to winter weekend style?
